Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
Learn with Dr. Emily is a neuro-affirming online space for parents and educators learning together as we support neurodivergent kids growing up in a world that wasn’t built for them.
My Why
Being a child psychologist for the past 20 years, both in public schools and private practice, has shown me that parents and educators are doing their best with the resources they have.
I know you’ve read books, listen to podcasts, and taken classes, which have brought you some small wins, but you still feel like there is so much more to learn.
At Learn with Dr. Emily, we pair my knowledge of child development, education, & mental health with your experience raising and teaching the neurodivergent children in your life, sharing our ideas with each other along the way.

My Story
I’ve spent the last 20 years working with neurodivergent children and teens alongside their families and teachers.
The children I have worked with over the years have taught me so much, but I have another teacher: my sons. They have taught me everything I didn’t learn in graduate school.
I’ve sat on both sides of the IEP table first as a school psychologist and then as a parent. I know the feeling of thinking you are out of ideas to support your child. This feeling inspired my passion for helping parents and educators collaborate so that all students can experience success.
We have to keep sharing our ideas. What works for one child may or may not work for another. Our kids are complex. Our families are complex. Classrooms are complex. School systems are complex.
There is so much information out there, but we are ultimately the decision-makers of the next best step in a child’s journey.
I can’t wait to meet you!
Let’s stay connected,
~Dr. Emily
